Dear Beloved Parishioners,
I have a personal eternal joy in being a Christian. My appreciation runs deep knowing my Lord has my back during the most trying of times. He offers me forgiveness in knowing my past, present, and future wrongs and wipes them away when I pray for forgiveness.
Our Lord offers us eternal life through faith and protects us through the Holy Spirit during our darkest hours. This joy cannot be stripped away by temporary sadness or pain. He is always beside us, to hear us, to console us and to guide us.
The presence of the Lord, like the presence of the shepherd among the sheep is what settles both us and the sheep. It is this presence through prayer that for me, intentionally make me aware of God’s presence around me.
God’s constant presence does not depend on outward circumstances which give me strength and hope. He speaks to us in nature through the birds, new-born babies, children, the skies, our pets, and the sea along with a hundred other signs of His providence and blessings.
Writer Marcie Boultinghouse once wrote, “God spoke today in flowers, and I,
who was waiting on words, almost missed the conversation.”
It makes me smile to see the beautiful gardens around church reaching up to heaven and glorifying God. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:11).
So, my beloved, do not miss the point that His joy is in us. We don’t have new joy as a gift from Him. We have new joy because our new joy is Christ rejoicing in us. We are rejoicing with His joy.

Fr. David has met with the architect, and he will be preparing plans for our new handicapped ramp in front of the church. Fr. David hopes to be able to present these plans to the parish by
the end of September or early October. From that point, we will seek approval from the vestry and obtain the needed city permits.

El Padre David se ha reunido con el arquitecto, quien estará preparando los planos para nuestra nueva rampa de acceso para personas con discapacidades en la entrada de la iglesia. El Padre David espera poder presentar estos planos a la parroquia a finales de septiembre o principios de octubre. A partir de ese momento, solicitaremos la aprobación de la Junta Parroquial (Vestry) y obtendremos los permisos necesarios de la ciudad.
